MIGA Workshop

TITLE “The Complaining Patient”
DATE Saturday, 19 November 2011
TIME 10:30 – 12:30 and 13:30 – 15:30 (The 10:30 session will only go ahead based on a minimum of 20 attendees)

REGISTRATION This Workshop is suitable for Ophthalmologists and practice managers, but all delegates welcome. Book early via Congress Registration form as seating is limited to 36 and will be registered on a first in, first served basis.

DESCRIPTION

An interactive 2 hour workshop on managing patient complaints based on real case scenarios presented by the Medical Insurance Group Australia (MIGA)

Patient feedback, positive or negative, provides an opportunity for the practice to improve its service. However complaints can be difficult to deal with and are often not handled well by doctors and their practice staff leading to unnecessary escalation of the complaint.

This workshop considers:

Fellows who attend the workshop “The Complaining Patient” on Saturday, 19 November 2011, prior to the Congress would be eligible to claim an additional 2 CPD points under Risk Management and Clinical Governance Level 1
